Our replacement gears are machined from a solid chunk of high strength aerospace steel to exactly match the spiral and spur sections to replace the factory plastic gears which commonly fail in these power folding towing mirrors. As you probably know, the cost of the towing mirrors is excessive from GM, and will only include more plastic gearing which isn't suited for a mirror this big. Dont spend big money on an entire replacement power fold towing mirror assembly when you can easily fix and UPGRADE your existing OEM mirror so it never breaks again!
We offer installation kits which are included in the bundle options. The installation kit will include stainless machined replacement mirror pivot tubes as well as specialized tooling made specifically to accomplish this repair. We recommend using our dedicated installation kit to accomplish this repair, as GM has built this mirror in a way that would otherwise make it very difficult to repair (because they want you to buy a new mirror assy $$)

1. Full LH + RH Repair Kit - Includes hardened steel gears to fix both Left and Right sides, plus 2 new pivot tubes and one installation kit.
2. One Side Repair Kit - Includes hardened steel gears to fix Left or Right side, plus 1 new pivot tube and one installation kit.
3. LH + RH Gear Kit - Includes hardened steel gears to fix both Left and Right sides, plus 2 new pivot tubes - No Installation Kit is provided
4. One Side Gear Kit - Includes hardened steel gears to fix Left or Right side, plus 1 new pivot tube - No Installation Kit is provided
** Please note an extra set of 2 lock rings can also be added to any order.
** Please note this repair DOES NOT fix the power telescoping gearing, it only addresses the power fold functionality. IF you are having issues with the power telescope feature, please contact us to report it. We are working to add the power telescope repair scheme to this at a future date.
