GruvenParts.com is happy to release this Billet Upper Radiator Hose 4Y Coolant Fitting for VW Golf/Jetta/Passat/EOS and Audi TT/A3 with BPY Engine -- P/N 1K0-121-087H (1K0121087H).

The OEM plastic 4Y connector used in the upper radiator hose is prone to cracking and leaking which often results in a rapid loss of coolant which can permanently damage your motor.

The GruvenParts.com billet 4Y Pipe is machined from Aircraft Grade 6061-T651 Aluminum, professionally TIG welded, and then pressure checked by our licensed welders. This one will permanently stop the nonsense caused by the VW/Audi cheap plastic coolant fitting.

This billet 4Y Pipe is intended to replace the plastic 4Y fitting OEM P/N 1K0-121-087H (1K0121087H) found in the upper radiator hose of the BPY Engine Code VW's and Audis :

VW EOS – 07-11
VW Jetta – 05-10
VW Golf (including R) – 06-12
VW Passat – 06-08

Audi A3 – 05-12
Audi TT – 07-12

Don't wait for your old plastic one to break!

I replaced my 4Y with this billet one as preventative maintenance. I've been working on these engines for years and have accidentally broken several of the stock plastic ones. Now I will never have to worry about breaking the one on my personal car. Fitment was perfect and the part does it's job. Very pleased with this product.

I installed the GrüvenParts 4Y billet hose connector on my MKVI Golf R in January 2015 while I was doing other work (intake carbon clean, intercooler upgrade, radiator hose replacement with Forge silicone hoses and Tarmac intake installation). It is July 2016 now and I have not had any issues with the GrüvenParts billet 4Y connector. I think that I would have broken the OEM "plastic" 4Y connector by now. In defence of the OEM 4Y connector, it is actually a very high grade of "plastic" (PA6.6-GF30, which is injectable fibreglass (nylon with 30% glass fibres). Nonetheless, I still think that I would have broken it by now either from rubbing against the aftermarket cold air-intake or by just working in the engine bay, which is quite cramped. The GrüvenParts 4Y billet hose looks great and gives me one less thing to worry about breaking. I am very happy with the e-mail support I received from Paul and the team at GrüvenParts. The part number of the OEM 4Y hose I replaced was 1K0 121 087 H on my Australian delivered 2011 Volkswagen Golf R.

This part was a perfect replacement for the plastic OEM part that broke causing a rapid loss of coolant on a GTI MKV with a Cold Air Intake. The smaller arm of the OEM piece broke off after knocking against the CAI. I will never have that concern again with this part. The only reason why it doesn't get a 5 star rating is because it is a 6x the cost of the plastic OEM part. However, the cost of this part evens out once you factor in the costs associated with a major loss of coolant accident. Don't wait until the plastic OEM part breaks, install this when you put in a CAI. It's an easy install once you have the engine cover off and the part fits perfectly. In addition, shipping was fast from gruvenparts.com. Very satisfied with the whole experience.
