The GruvenParts.com Billet Water Pipe
A billet replacement for the problematic plastic water pipe (also known as crack pipe) which runs across the front of all VR6 engines. Ours is machined from 6061-T651 aerospace grade aluminum to the EXACT same dimensions as the OEM pipe, so it fits perfectly. Dont bother with the other guys pipe that doesnt fit correctly since it doenst match the OEM pipe shape.
Our pipes also include Aerospace grade O-rings at both ends - the very same ones used on Boeing 777 hydraulic systems. The sealing rings are crucial so we went with the best! As many of you already know from dealing with the other guys pipe, a cheap o-ring will leak, and you are no better off than if you had kept the plastic pipe in there.
GruvenParts also offers your choice of chrome drain valve, or plug style. And of course the thread on nipple can easily be removed and plugged using a 1/4 NPT plug for those who already have aftermarket oil coolers. Speaking of which, our pipes use proffesionally TIG welded bungs with a full 1 inch of thread to properly secure the removable drain and nipple fittings. DONT BUY A PIPE WITH TAPPED THREADS INTO A THIN WALL! The other guys pipe is made by tapping the thin wall pipe and is not durable! It doesnt work for household plumbing, nevermind a high strung VR6 motor.
